Jerry Lopez aka “JLo”
- League Coordinator
When Jerry is not keeping order in his day job, he’s planning the next opportunities for the Simi Valley Bag Habits to play and sharpen their skills. Jerry is often found at the top of the Cornhole leader board. Jerry is also an avid Photographer, Beer Brewer and BBQ connoisseur.

Jamison Events, Wedding and Event Planner by day, SV Bag Habits League Assistant by night.
Tom Ristau
Tom is an original member of Simi Valley Bag Habits. A competitive dude in Softball, Basketball and now Bags. “Gramps” here, is still playing 50+ softball tourneys and always helping the SVBH group grow.
Steve Wolfe aka “Wolfie”
An original member who has also been called “Chatty Kathy.” A valuable member of Simi Valley Bag Habits who’s input is always appreciated.
Justin Jorns aka “BKH”
Justin is an original member of Simi Valley Bag Habits. Transitioning from Softball to Cornhole with the old guys. Nicknamed ‘Burger King Hands’ (BKH) because of his tiny sausage fingers. When not playing sports, Justin is often found chasing after his two young kids.
Victor Gonzalez aka “V-Town”
Vic is an original member of Simi Valley Bag Habits and one always there to help this group. Brother to Pete Gonzalez and a resident of Moorpark, where several Simi Valley Bag Habits members are from.
Art Newcomb aka “Artie the 1 man party”
Artie is a fiece Softball competitor and a fearless Cornhole player. As he often can take down a more experienced player. If you want a “Team Player,” this is the guy. He combines smarts and strategy to play a very consistent game.
Dave Carlson
Dave joined Simi Valley Bag Habits on a whim and has stuck with us. Dave loves to play anytime he can, if he is not coaching Moorpark High School Football.
Pete Gonzalez aka “Pedro”
Pete is an original member who came from Softball. Known as “Pedro” from Michoacan and Vic’s Brother. If he’s not playing Cornhole, he’s out camping with his “love” (wife Elsa).
Shaun Erp aka “Colonel”
Shaun can often be heard yelling “Let’s Go!!” as his game starts heating up! Shaun is a regular with the group and is always down to practice. Even if he doesn’t sleep after his night shift.
Juan Barron
Juan is from Moorpark and sometimes referred to as “Baby Kimbo Slice.” If we find him a “PUSH” shot, he could be deadly. If you like the Atlanta Braves, he’s your guy.
Dave Valdez aka “Vato”
Vato joins Simi Valley Bag Habits in 2019 following Juan Barron. His game has improved a lot and he originally is from Moorpark but now lives in Simi Valley.
Leon Chaussee
Leon was met through Bob Valentine (his Brother-in-Law). He loves to play and support Bag Habits. If you need a Realtor, he’s your guy! LRC Realty
Matty Derrico aka “Matty D”
Matty is know as the mad scientist because he works for Amgen. He knows a lot of baseball trivia and loves poker.
Sergio Salgado aka “Serg”
When he’s not being super Dad attending his daughter’s dance recitals, Simi Valley Bag Habits is first on his list.
Kipp Landis
Kipp often referred to as the “Remington Steele” of Bag Habits. A Moorpark Resident and involved in City functions. Kipp loves the game and is always looking to help Simi Valley Bag Habits grow.
Kevin Kappl
Kevin joined Simi Valley Bag Habits with Bob and Leon. He’s often opening his home for tournaments and BBQs. Newly married, both him and his wife Christine are a fixture to our Simi Valley Bag Habits group. When Kevin’s not throwing bags, he’s running his company Kappl Heating and Air Conditioning.
Christine Kappl
Christine is Kevin’s new Bride. Christine has joined the group and is not afraid to mix it up with the boys. She has been a gracious host to all of us when we invade the Kappl house for the pool, BBQ & Cornhole.
Dan Case aka “Tench”
When he’s not solving cases of serial murders on Mindhunter (Netflix), he’s throwing bags somewhere. Dan is a former mathematician and a master strategist at Cornhole! Dan is a great guy who supports law enforcement.
Phil Hendricks
Phil is also often found on the Softball fields, when he’s not playing Cornhole. A true family man with three kids, his name can be found on some of the areas local real estate as a top Real Estate Agent.
Randy Wagner

Samantha Ohmie
Samantha brings her competitive background of Softball to her Cornhole game. Previously played for Howard College and Graduated St. Leo University. Her Softball record is impressive and her consistent throw of the bags is too!
Curt Watson
Curt has joined the Bag Habits crew about a year ago. Along with his girlfriend Brittney, he’s become a competitor to the game and is often found on the leader board.
Brittney Bennett
When Brittney isn’t dancing to her favorite song, Old Town Road, she’s throwing Bags with her Bag Habits Crew. Joining us about a year ago with boyfriend, Curt. Brittney has become a valued member of our team!

Robert is often referred to “Junior V” or “Junior.” When he’s not catching up on sleep from his night shift, he’s throwing bags with us! He and his Dad, Bob (Robert Valentine) are a great addition to the Bag Habits crew!
